"Sometimes a wild god comes to the table..."

https://tomhirons.com/poetry/sometimes-a-wild-god#wild-god-poem

Reading this tract of yours tonight, all kinds of strange connections come. To Vanessa Machado de Oliveira speaking of inhabiting the world as a metabolism of which we are a part. To Chris Smaje's post last week expressing doubt about the wisdom of throwing energy into public arguments with those whose rhetoric of SCIENCE refuses to notice the gulf between our assumptions, the assumptions on which their facts are founded.

Enjoy your August behaviour - and thanks for sharing this with us.

My gosh what a gorgeous poem. Where do I find Chris Smaje's post, Dougald?

I'd read it just before yours and somehow felt them resonating.
